MS research funding

I’ve lived with MS for 16½ years now. Throughout that time, I think that — despite the gradual progression of the disease and the accompanying frustration and anger — I’ve maintained a pretty positive, optimistic perspective. When I’ve met newly diagnosed, justifiably scared, persons with MS, I haven’t dwelled on the negative aspects of the disease. Ever since my diagnosis in 1994, I’ve believed MS will be cured in my lifetime. But we’ve got to advocate, raise money, foster research. And here’s an easy way to tell your congressional representatives to be involved:

Please help me maintain my hope for a cure by asking Congress to continue to provide research funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH), one of the premier national institutions that conducts MS research.
